COMMENTARY: HAVE WE ALL LIVED PAST LIVES? The idea of reincarnation was greeted with skepticism and ridicule in the West until fairly recently.
However, an increasing number of lines of evidence have made it increasingly accepted - in one form or another. The evidence suggesting reincarnation is extensive and includes children who remember past lives, people whose dreams of past lives uncover unknown evidence, past life regressions, between-life regressions, and pre-birth memories.
Also, we are increasingly finding that past lives feature in out-of-body experiences. Jurgen Ziewe, for example, claims that he was able to see his past lives like a mandala and step into and re-experience any one of them. They are showing up in mediumship readings, in healing, and channeling. And more and more people like Matias de Stefano are reporting that they have memories of multiple past lives.
However, there is still a huge debate over the form reincarnation takes. Do we live multiple lives at the same time? Is it just a fragment of our soul that reincarnates? Is there always a greater part of our soul in the afterlife to meet our loved ones? How can there be re-incarnation when we are told that there is no time in the afterlife? Is it voluntary or compulsory, and does everyone reincarnate? And do animals reincarnate or enter human evolution?
So many questions and possibilities that we will explore in next Sunday's Zoom Global Gathering and in our coming reports.
CHILDREN WHO REMEMBER PAST LIVES The pre-eminent scientific researcher of children's past lives was Dr. Ian Stevenson. He was a psychiatrist and parapsychologist working at the Division of Personality Studies (DOPS) at the University of Virginia. He was funded by Chester Carlson, the inventor of the Xerox machine, to travel to various parts of the world to collect and study cases of young children who reported memories of past lives. He interviewed over four thousand children from the United States, England, Thailand, Burma, Turkey, Lebanon, Canada, India, and other places.
DR. JIM TUCKER CONTINUES THE WORK
After Dr. Stevenson transitioned in 2007, researchers at the Division of Perceptual Studies, headed by Dr. Jim B. Tucker, continued to investigate cases of children with past-life memories. Dr. Tucker published his findings in: Life Before Life: Children's Memories of Previous Lives (2008) "Return to Life: Extraordinary Cases of Children Who Remember Past Lives" (2013)

PAST LIFE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN TWINS In his investigation of children who remember past lives, Dr. Ian Stevenson came upon 40 sets of twins. In 31 cases they were able to identify who the twins had been in their previous life. Of every one of these 31 pairs, the previous persons had known each other in some way. Five pairs had been married to each other, eleven had been siblings like the Pollock twins pictured. Two of them had already been twins—six had been relatives of other kinds and nine had been friends, acquaintances, or business associates". Such cases hold implications for understanding the factors involved in personality development and behaviour, suggesting that past lives play a role in addition to heredity and environment. NO ONE REALLY DIES: 25 REASONS TO BELIEVE IN AN AFTERLIFE Without involving the existence or non-existence of God, god, or gods, Michael Tymn's book examines some of the best evidence for survival studied between 1850 and the present day, the majority taking place before 1935. Time has not eroded the validity of those cases and the research surrounding them, although popular internet references generally subscribe to the materialistic worldview and are biased heavily toward debunking them all while offering twisted, distorted, misleading, incomplete, and uninformed explanations. Indeed, many of the cases reported in this book are bizarre and exceed the normal boggle threshold, but it should be kept in mind that the scientists and scholars who reported on them did so after numerous observations, often under highly controlled conditions, and with their reputations on the line. CHILDREN IN THE AFTERLIFE
Immediately on crossing over, infants from those even minutes old to older children are met by specially trained carers from the other side. They are taken to a very special place – perhaps the best description would be a kind of children’s ‘hospital’ where they are looked after with much love by those connected with the child – and by specially trained personnel.
