COMMENTARY: MISUNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT THE AFTERLIFE
We sometimes hear people claim that they know, without a doubt, that in the afterlife you don't have a body. They feel sure that you don't eat or drink, and you float around as a kind of blissful disembodied awareness.

While that might have been what they were taught, or even what they experienced during a NDE, it is important to keep an open mind. Many lines of evidence suggest that, at least in the initial stages, people will find themselves in a world that is very physical and similar to life here. This is important because we sometimes hear that there are people who don't realise that they have died because everything is so solid and earth-like.

Modern afterlife researchers have thousands of sources from which to gather information - the best mental and physical mediums, near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, after-death contacts, instrumental transcommunication, deathbed reunions, etc. They analyse the credibility of the witnesses and compare and contrast the experiences across different countries and cultures and across time. And from them, the verdict is in.



JURGEN ZIEWE ON THE SOLIDITY OF THE AFTERLIFE
Out-of-body explorers are unanimous about the fact that the lower levels of the astral world are solid and earth-like. Jurgen Ziewe has been having out-of-body experiences for hours at a time in full waking consciousness for over forty-five years. He explains that we need to get used to the fact that our "afterlife" will be more real not less real, more "physical" not less "physical". INSTRUMENTAL TRANSCOMMUNICATION
During the 1980s and 1990s, a group in Europe received miraculous communications through radios, faxes, computers, and televisions. These included pictures of the afterlife that show a real world where people work in buildings, have relationships, keep pets, travel, and explore other dimensions. Below is an image of a Chinese healer, Yang Fud-se, transmitted via computer file to ITC researchers Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischbach of Luxembourg (circa 1987).

A COMMUNICATION THROUGH ITC
This message was sent to Luxembourg researchers Maggy Fischbach and Jules Harsch by their spirit friend Swejen Salter, who was in charge of the Timestream sending station, which she said was on the “third level” of spiritual existence. Read more about ITC.

Swejen Salter:
"We live in a world that is similar to your world. We have a body like yours. This body is of an etheric substance of much higher vibration than your dense body in your dense material world. No diseases exist here; missing body limbs grow again. Bodies that were amputated on Earth will here be regenerated again. We live in comfortably furnished homes. The surrounding landscapes are impressive and beautiful.

The average age of all those who passed over to us becomes 25 to 30 years. If they died in old age, they awaken here in full consciousness after a regenerating sleep that lasts about six weeks of Earth time. In some cases, it can be shorter".

ANOTHER TRUSTED VOICE FROM THE AFTERLIFE
When he was alive, Hugh Benson was a priest of the Catholic Church, a monsignor at the Vatican. After he died, he dictated six books about the afterlife through medium Anthony Borgia. Read more about how the books were created (pdf download)

Mons. Benson tells us that it has been his work to welcome thousands of people when they first cross over and explains:
" ... many souls of the earth world are almost shocked to be told that the spirit world is a solid world, a substantial world, with real, live people in it. They think that that is far too material, far too like the earth world; hardly, in fact, one step removed from it with its spirit landscape and sunshine, its houses and building, its rivers and lakes, inhabited by sentient beings!" ASTRAL CITY - BASED ON THE MEDIUMSHIP OF CHICO XAVIER
Brazilian philanthropist Francisco Candido Xavier is perhaps the most famous medium who ever lived. He received more than 400 books dictated by spirits which have sold more than 50 million copies. Among the most famous is Nosso Lar (also known as "Astral City" and "Our Home") which was transmitted by Andre Luiz, a doctor who tells the story of his transition into the spirit world. The book was made into a feature film in 2010. A follow-up film is in production and due for release in Brazil on August 31st 2023.
