COMMENTARY:
ON FAITH AND EVIDENCE
Religious beliefs about the afterlife have developed from
the same experiences that people have today: out of body
experiences, near-death experiences, mediumship, after
death contacts, and states of expanded awareness etc.
While some of those experiences are beautiful and wondrous,
as out-of-body experiencer Robert Peterson put it so eloquently,
"most of the information has been distorted by religious
agendas, centuries of time, ancient language misinterpretations,
cultural differences, and just plain lack of words for
what really happened."
One needs 'faith' to accept what someone thousands of
years ago supposedly wrote. By contrast, in empirical
research into the afterlife, anything that can be duplicated
over time and space, which yields the same results, keeping
variables constant, will be classified as objective.
We are fortunate today with the internet and easy publication
to have hundreds of thousands of accounts of people having
experiences identical to those recorded in the 'holy'
books. They validate the most important teachings of all
religions such as the importance of love, service, and
forgiveness while allowing us to discern "additions"
that don't have the same authenticity.
AT HOME WITH DR. PIM VAN LOMMEL
Cardiologist Pim Van Lommel
was the lead researcher of the largest hospital-based
NDE study about the implications of near-death experiences.
It was published in the medical journal The Lancet.
He believes that consciousness can also exist outside
the body.
CRAIG WEILER SHOWS HOW CLOSED
MINDED SKEPTICS HIJACKED WIKIPEDIA
Most people who know anything about afterlife research
understand that Wikipedia has been taken over by organised
militant skeptics. Dean Radin writes about
Craig's book:
"It describes a world where the most widely accessed
factual encyclopedia is actually a work of fantasy, written
by anonymous amateurs; where organizations that purport
to support scientific inquiry in fact do the complete
opposite; where a celebrated science prize is actually
an impossible-to-win publicity stunt; and where an entertainment
outlet with a mission for sharing ideas instead acts to
censor them. And this is just the beginning." PSI Wars: TED, Wikipedia and the Battle for the Internet.
THE AFTERLIFE INVESTIGATIONS:
THE SCOLE EXPERIMENT Some
of our recent subscribers may not be familiar with the
Scole Experiment, one of the best recent examples
of physical mediumship research.
A SCIENTIST'S USEFUL ANALYSIS
OF THE SCOLE PHENOMENA William
Treurniet was for many years
a research scientist in a Canadian government laboratory.
The focus of his research was on human interaction with
information technology, such as psychoacoustics related
to audio encoding. He has had a long-standing interest
in anomalous phenomena such as ESP and UFOs and has written
extensively about contact
with extraterrestrial (Zetas). His masterly analysis
of the Scole phenomena as outlined in Robin Foy's definitive
book Witnessing the Impossible is a must-read
for anyone wishing to understand the physics of the spirit
world.

SCIENCE IS A METHOD NOT A SET
OF DOGMAS
Many scientists like to think that science already understands
the ways of the natural world; that the fundamental questions
are answered, leaving only the details to be filled in.
The impressive achievements of science seemed to support
this confident attitude. But recent research has revealed
unexpected problems at the heart of physics, cosmology,
biology, medicine, and psychology.
WHAT
DO WE MEAN BY ‘SPIRITUALLY ADVANCED’?
In answer to a recent question, Victor's understanding
is that someone who is spiritually
advanced:
• communicates peacefully, without violence,
• is able to remain calm under pressure, always
helping, always doing something positive for others. Read

LIFE TO AFTERLIFE
Imagine going about your life where everything
seems normal. Then, out of nowhere, the worst possible
event occurs: your child dies. Craig McMahon sits down
with seventeen brave parents who were not only able to
piece their lives back together again but also capable
of communicating with their child from heaven. Death of
a child has a new spiritual perspective. A majority of
the parents were Christian, but all seem to have a closer
relationship with God after their experience. Rent

GROUND OF FAITH
OCTOBER 2019
We have always loved the Ground
of Faith newsletter and its very special mission to
speak to open-minded Christians. Rev.
Michael Cocks, an Anglican minister, has done an incredible
job on it since 2003. He has had some difficulty in reading
text recently, but we are pleased to see that the October
2019 edition is now out. Thanks to Michael and his team.

WHAT
HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE? ARTHUR YENSEN WAS AN ATHEIST WHO
WENT TO HEAVEN In August
of 1932, Arthur Yensen, a university graduate, geologist
and staunch materialist, was in a car accident and briefly
died. His later talks about what he discovered during
his NDE often brought criticism, especially from the church
of the day. But there were those who would listen, and
as time wore on, more and more people would ask him about
it. Finally, in 1955, Arthur Yensen published a report
of his near-death experience in a booklet called I
Saw Heaven, in which he answers many of the questions
people ask about the afterlife. Many of the things he
described have been confirmed by other experiencers. Listen
to Stephen Mendez reading his book.
Kevin Williams has placed extracts from the book on his
highly recommended near-death.com website. Read

A TRIBUTE TO FIREFIGHTERS In
Australia this week, our minds have well and truly been
on the fires that are ravaging our drought-affected country.
Like those facing the terrible fires in California and
in countries all over the world, those of us in Australia
are so grateful for the magnificent efforts of the men
and women and all who put themselves in harm's way to
save others. See 5

FEEDBACK:
(Four only). 1) Thank you once
again for your wonderful work, and that of Wendy. Many
of us look forward to this report, looking to it for comfort.
Please know how much we appreciate it. Maria
2) Oh, what joy, I had forgotten it was Friday and then
I saw this. Victor and Wendy, made my morning. Kim
3) Another great report! I found the article by Prof. Kruse
regarding Gary Mansion's mediumship most compelling and
quite convincing. Thus far, Kruse has done an extraordinary
job in his investigation. Kudos to Gary and Inge for their
dedication and perseverance. Stay the course! It appears
the best is yet to come. Ken.
4) Enjoying this report so much especially the interview
with Ann Harrison about physical mediumship. Excellent stuff!

HIGHLY INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC This
video features the 1981 recording of the song "Perhaps Love"
sung by John Denver & Plácido Domingo. John wrote the song
in early 1981 and recorded a solo acoustic version for his
1982 album Seasons of the Heart.
