When I look back
over my life as Princess of Wales, mother and wife, the
first thing I think of is my boys, the happiness with them,
such precious joys.
They were always
and ever the jewels in my crown when other people I loved
let me down, I remember my work which to those I helped
gave inspiration not just in my home country but in every
nation it gave me a deep inner feeling of personal satisfaction.
I did not just support my causes by words, I fuelled them
with action in my personal life. I made many mistakes. I'm
aware of this of course, the greatest of which finalized
in a very public divorce.
In the end though
I found personal happiness. I was in love. All too soon,
I spread my wings flying to astral realms above.
I knew about
suffering and seeing others suffer I learnt more, which
is why I could relate to the victims in a personal way -
for sure at the same time being understood by them who knew
of my pain, it was witnessing their inner strength that
helped me be determined to not crack under the strain. So
I battled against all the odds and conquered inner fears,
deep rooted insecurities that had haunted my years.
I'd challenged
my enemies, many without a public face and used the media
to put them in their place exposed myths that to the people
had been believed to be real revealing secrets that those
concerned had wished to conceal.
I knew I was
loved worldwide and this being genuine and true, here now
to all of you from the heart, I say a sincere thank you.
