HOLLYWOOD
LEGEND CROSSES OVER: The
death of Paul Newman,
one of Hollywood’s serious actors, who crossed over
this week at age 83 years reminds us of both the frailty
and the purpose of life. He generally presented a decency
which influenced generations. He also was unselfish, helping
others and he was a philanthropist. He gave away an estimated
$300 million to charities from his salad dressings and
food company. In a recent interview he said that he got
50 times the satisfaction from his charity work with dying
children than he did from movie stardom. He is not likely
to have any problems at all on crossing over. A number
of other highly charismatic celebrities from Hollywood
as Goodwill Ambassadors, made a special endeavor to help
the underprivileged in Africa and in other third world
countries working for UNICEF who for years. In the past
there were charismatic movie-stars such as Audrey
Hepburn, Danny Kaye, Peter Ustinov and these days there
are other moviestars
such as Pierce Brosnan , Danny Glover, Jacki Chan, Lucy
Liu, Sir Roger Moore (pictured left), Angelina Jolie (right)
and others. It is so wonderful to see these international
stars using their stardom to influence public opinion
regarding the plight of those trying to survive under
some very horrible conditions. Service, we are informed
from the other side, is the highest form of religion and
does wonders for the consciousness (vibrations) of the
person doing the service.
CHALLENGING DOGMATISM IN SCIENCE
I stated in the past that
the world is experiencing the final historical
conflict in science between traditional reductionist science
and the paranormal, (non-physical science). The evidence
shows that throughout history there were those who experienced
the paranormal – fundamentally inconsistent with
traditional physical science. The paranormal has not only
stayed with us over the thousands of years, it has now
become more objective, more scientific and is being accepted
by more millions around the world. In the past there has
been a 'dialectical' clash between hard core science and
paranormal/spirituality – in academia, in literature,
in the popular press, and recently on radio and television
- and even on the internet. As I pointed out in the article

the skeptics' attack on the paranormal is in fact part
of the continuous dialectical clash and refining process.
Today the nineteenth century atheism which shaped traditional
science is being challenged on all fronts. This is the
subject matter of a fascinating video made recently for

THE
SUPREME ADVENTURE The great scientist Dr.
Robert Crookall, D.Sc., PhD, undertook
a systematic study of hundreds of such communications
from the afterlife and published the results in his book
The Supreme Adventure (1961). These are some
of his findings about a natural death:
* In the case of a natural death, about an hour
before "visible death" a dying person vacates
the physical body and stands nearby perfectly conscious
and happy.
* Many see and hear friends who have gone before whom
they have "called". Everyone is met by somebody.
* Until the silver cord is broken (usually within a few
minutes but with someone very materialistic can be up
to a few days) the person will continue to be aware of
the physical body and its surroundings. At this time they
are often seen by people as they think about them.
*Many communicators describe the act of dying as 'easy',
'natural' and even 'delightful'.
* Once the 'silver cord' is snapped the
average person who dies naturally enjoys a recuperative
sleep lasting for three or four days. This can be lengthened
as a result of a long and severe illness, excessive grief
on the part of friends and relatives or the fixed idea
that there is no afterlife which acts like a post-hypnotic
suggestion.
* The above-average person who dies without exhausting
illness, and whose friends replace selfish grief by quiet
prayer, may have little or no sleep.
* Many declared that they were astonished that their death
was so natural and that the new environment was real,
familiar, pleasant, beautiful and earth-like.

UNINFORMED POP-JOURNALIST HUGELY BLUNDERS
IN AFTERLIFE MATTERS: 'Julie' sent me
a press-cutting - a most scurrilous, dirty article attacking
international medium John Edward
, written by a journalist in a Sydney mainstream newspaper,
The Sun-Herald (28/9/08). It's fine to be skeptical but
this journalist, through his ignorance and entrenched
negative prejudice exceeded the boundaries of reasonableness
and ridiculed anyone who dares to think that "talking
to the dead" is possible. Clearly this journalist
shows he has not done any research into the afterlife.
He did not mention that John Edward was subject to stringent
scientific testing in the USA - and that the scientists
and empiricists who tested John Edward accepted him to
be 80% accurate (see last week's report). Time to enter
the twenty-first century. I strongly advise you to see
John Edward yourself and learn something about your inevitable
