COMMENTARY: SIGN OF THE TIMES? The U.S. has its first black President. Australia has its first ever female Governor General and now its first female Prime Minister - Julia Gillard (photo, right below). And perhaps in a sign of the times she is divorced, living with a guy without being married and has no children by choice. Thirty years ago the Catholic priests from their pulpits - would have told their parishioners that she was living in sin and if she died she'd be damned to hell forever - even directing their parishioners NOT to vote for her or her political Party (like the American Democrats) in the Federal elections in Australia last weekend.

Not these days. It clearly shows the traditioinal Church does not dominate the minds of the people as it used to.

Further, a political observer said on radio that secular big businesses (mainly foreign) spent some $20 million to put the conservatives back in power - some five times their rivals' budget for the elections. For a relatively small population, that is a huge sum. But the conservatives were shocked to learn that the voters did not believe the huge 'conservative' propaganda.

Perhaps it is a sign of the times that people are becoming more independent in their thinking, more cynical about political promises and very much unaffected what traditional religious leaders tell them to do. That is likely to have a most positive effect on people's accepting the scientific evidence for the afterlife.

QUANTUM PHYSICS AND THE AFTERLIFE: 'CONSCIOUSNESS IN SUB-ATOMIC PARTICLES?' The physical converts to the spiritual? "Rather than being lifeless matter, subatomic particles are being revealed as having CONSCIOUSNESS. Michael Talbot describes an experiment by Aspect, Dalibard and Roger in 1982 that he predicted will be the most important experiment of the twentieth century: "Aspect and his team discovered that under certain circumstances subatomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicated with each other regardless of the distance separating them." University of London physicist David Bohm believed Aspect's findings imply that objective reality does not exist and that despite its apparent solidity, the universe is fundamentally a phantasm, a gigantic and splendidly detailed hologram (Talbot2000). Consciousness in the sub-atomic particles transforms the physical to the spiritual and has huge implications for the existence of 'God', spirituality and the afterlife.

EXPERIENTIAL EVIDENCE FOR THE AFTERLIFE
Like all parapsychologists and afterlife investigators I have been trained to put emphasis on objective and repeatable evidence in my research, knowing that in an age where materialistic science dominates, this is the gold standard for validity. However this does not mean that we can or should discount the evidence of 'sensitives.' I totally accept that some people can "tune in" to their sixth sense to either see, feel or hear afterlife communication. And I accept that many more of us can turn on this sixth sense on the odd occasion. Half of the people I know have had personal experiences of afterlife communication or of psychic knowing. While we may not be able to measure these psychic or sensitive skills empirically, they are often the experiences which are most persuasive to the individual concerned. There would be millions of people around the world who are quietly receiving communication from crossed over loved ones. The good thing is that now more and more people feel free to talk about their psychic and mediumistic experiences.

WHEN YOU’RE DEAD, HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU’RE DEAD? Highly reliable afterlife intelligences have transmitted information that ‘millions’ – on crossing over- refuse to believe they are dead. If at any time you find yourself in a situation where loved ones or close friends and colleagues totally ignore you as if they did NOT HEAR YOU AT ALL, it could mean YOU HAVE CROSSED OVER- are physically dead. You may be confused but if you mentally ask for help you will receive help. Do yourself a huge favor, NEVER forget that. The movie The Sixth Sense illustrates the principle.

I very highly recommended a book called THE FRENCH REVELATION by lawyer Edward C Randall. On pp.196-202 EC Randall describes how he was working with a medium and the rescue-team in the afterlife dimension brought someone who stubbornly refused to accept he was dead. “What has that to do with me? DR WALLY JOHNSTON
Some time ago I had the great privilege of meeting with Dr Wally Johnston in Portland (Oregon, U.S.), a retired professor of Education, whose experiences of working first hand with a number of people who didn't know they were dead is told in his highly recommended book. "People Who Don't Know They are Dead."
His book claims:
" When people die by accident, in violence, or maybe they're drunk, stoned, or angry, they get freeze-framed. Even if they die naturally but have no clue what to expect, they might not notice they're dead. It's frustrating to see and not be seen. It's frustrating to not know what you're supposed to do next."



TRANSFIGURATION MEDIUMSHIP- STUNNING EVIDENCE OF THE AFTERLIFE
Some of the best accounts of afterlife encounters are contained in small run books written by mediums. This week I was privileged to read a book by an Australian medium, Dennis Hassell, loaned to me by a person who had personal contact with him. The book called "Life Ends- Life Begins" contains wonderful experiences of mediumship including the following description of a seance he witnessed with transfiguration medium Queenie Nixon.

"Whilst in deep trance, one could watch her face altering in shape, age and sex...In every case the new face appearing upon Queenie Nixon was recognized by someone in the audience, at which stage the spirit person would then commence talking to that relative and some of these two way conversations went on for 10-12 minutes...One of the most amazing of the above described was the appearance of the "dead" mother of a French born woman who lived in Perth...not only did the dead mother speak to Monique in French, she used a dialect peculiar to a district 30 miles south of Paris." SPIRIT SPEAKS ANCIENT GREEK
In the 1970's in New Zealand a trance medium named Thomas Ashman began receiving communications from an entity claiming to be St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT SPIRITUAL LESSONS: LEARN HOW TO UNCONDITIONALLY APOLOGIZE AND HOW TO UNCONDITIONALLY FORGIVE:
One hugely important lesson we can learn from the Jewish religion. Whilst they know they have to forgive whenever they can, the Jewish people are asked to unconditionally apologize if they hurt someone and to unconditionally forgive anyone who hurt them. In fact they have a special time of the year- The Days of Awe, where it is common to seek reconciliation with people they may have wronged during the course of the year. The ability to apologise and forgive unconditionally are extremely important spiritual practices.

QUESTION: PRIVACY IN THE AFTERLIFE: Is there privacy of thought in the afterlife dimension?

"No, you cannot conceal anything in our world, for all is known. In that, there is nothing of which to be ashamed. In your world you can cheat, lie and deceive. You can change your name legally if you like, but you cannot change your character." (authority S.Birch.)

QUESTION: ASTRAL TRAVEL: Do we all astral travel?

Victor: Highly credible information directly from the afterlife tells us that we ALL astral travel at night time when we go to sleep and visit our friends and loved ones. But in all circumstances the silver cord which is connected between the physical body and the 'etheric-spirit body' will always be in tact. Death will occur only if the silver cord is cut … severed in some way. Silver Birch says we astral travel to a realm that can accommodate our level of vibrations. We cannot go to a higher realm unless our vibrations are as high as the realm we visit. We are also informed that not too many people remember their astral travels because the brain stays with the physical body while the MIND travels with the etheric-astral body.

QUESTION: Why is it that some people are able to obtain fairly accurate reading from a medium and others can't get anything accurate from the same medium?

Victor: There could be many reasons for the issue you raised. There are those who are highly receptive to afterlife information which makes it relatively easy for the medium to tune into them and extend their links. The same medium may not make any connection with those who are or have been skeptically minded all their life. People who are habitually sarcastic, cynical and negative are not likely to make good sitters - they're not impossible to read, but these attributes could adversely affect receptivity. Of course, the mental condition or health of the medium is relevant- everyone has good and bad days. Further, the particular afterlife entity being sought may not be giving strong signals. Tuning into the afterlife is not to be taken lightly. If you want to have a good reading you should be completely open-minded and without any negativity.
