COMMENTARY: GOOD NEWS FOR THOSE WHO ARE SPIRITUAL BUT NOT RELIGIOUS
After some 30 years of researching the afterlife, we can confidently say that belief in the dogmas of religion will not have any effect on your entry into the levels of the Light on crossing over. We consistently receive information that as long as you are a reasonable person who shows kindness to others, who lives what we call "a good life", you will find yourself in a very pleasant, refined version of your life on earth.
Many people who follow the spirit of love, which is at the heart of all religions, can find community, inspiration, and motivation in their religious practices. But they will find themselves in beautiful surroundings, not because of their beliefs, but because of what they DID during their life on earth.
What is important when you cross over is your state of consciousness. The more you can develop a sense of empathy and connection with others, with nature, with all-that-is, the more expanded your consciousness will be. Some people gain this from the practices of their religion. Others develop it through the practice of meditation, from working passionately for the environment, or with animals, art, music, science, or from a cause they are passionate about.

CONSCIOUSNESS UNDERLIES ALL THAT EXISTS, AND EXISTENCE IS ENTIRELY MENTAL Retired Canadian scientist William Treurniet writes: "During most of my life, I had no idea how the description of heaven, for example, could be true. THE PADGET MESSAGES James E. Padgett was an attorney for over 45 years; he didn't learn that he had any mediumship skills until after the death of his wife of 31 years. PHYSICIST LEARNS TO FORGIVE TO SAVE HIS OWN LIFE
At age 42, Lester Levenson, a physicist and successful entrepreneur, was at the pinnacle of worldly success, yet he was an unhappy, very unhealthy man. After he had his second heart attack, his doctors sent him home to die.
Lester realised his emotions were making him sick. He began a self-investigation by asking himself what he wanted out of life. His answer was happiness. He realised that negative emotions made him unhappy and that he felt happiest when he was loving rather than being loved.
