COMMENTARY: A THIRD ALTERNATIVE
Sadly, a lot of people equate the afterlife with religion and, when they reject the absurdities of simplistic religions developed thousands of years ago, they close their minds to the afterlife. It's called "throwing the baby out with the bathwater".
In rejecting the threats of eternal damnation, they also cut themselves off from exploring The Greater Reality. They shut the door firmly on anything spiritual or paranormal and retreat into skepticism, claiming (incorrectly) that science says there cannot be an afterlife.
For many years we have been showing that the evidence for the afterlife has nothing to do with religion and that it is perfectly possible to be an agnostic or an atheist and still accept the evidence for the afterlife. There is a large and growing group of people who describe themselves as "spiritual but not religious."
We have also shown that some of the greatest scientists in history who took the time to investigate the evidence for the afterlife became convinced of its existence. These days their discoveries are being supported by the advances in quantum physics which show that at the base of all matter, there is only consciousness—which some people describe as 'The Universe' or even God.
ATHEIST DIES AND REMEMBERS HER REAL HOME Nancy Rynes, an atheist and scientist, had an NDE (Near-Death Experience) after being hit by an SUV while riding her bike, where she went to Heaven and met God and an angel. An NDE (Near-Death Experience) occurs when someone dies, is revived, and learns there is life after death. Nancy's NDE (Near-Death Experience) was a life-altering experience that changed her entire life.
HARRY STAYED CLOSE TO EARTH WHEN HE DIED
So if an atheist like Nancy Rynes can go straight into "Heaven" why is it that some people are temporarily earthbound when they first cross over? A spirit named Harry turned up at a sitting with direct-voice medium Leslie Flint. in 1957. Harry says that he didn't believe in an afterlife and when he died, he stayed around his friends. He went to pubs and then realised he could now travel the world. But no one could hear him, and no one could see him, so it was a lonely existence as an Earth-bound spirit. During his near-death experience, Aaron Thomas Green was able to gain insights into the pre-life process where he agreed to all the things that led his soul to become Aaron. AFTERLIFE EVIDENCE: AUTOMATIC WRITING
This is when scripts are produced without the control of the conscious self. It is a very common form of psychic activity, but not always true mediumship. In its highest form, it is an excellent channel for teachings from the spirit world. Usually, the hand of the medium is controlled and writes at a furious pace without pause for thought. The Spirit Search and Rescue group is held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. Eastern US time ( 8 p.m. London time).
Gordon is teaching the technique of conscious meditation to connect and assist souls needing help to complete their crossing over following the death of the physical body. Each session contains an introduction, a period of around 15 minutes for conscious meditation (during which Gordon joins each group member in turn to observe their work) and then a de-brief session.
