APPARITIONS: Hi Wendy and Victor: tell me, why is it that some people can see apparitions and some don't. Just before my friend crossed over she said she was seeing the apparition of her mother. Could that be real or is that just imagination?

Victor: Why one can see apparitions and another does not will depend on a number of things. Those who are familiar with afterlife matters - especially those who take time to read widely about the afterlife are more likely to experience apparitions immediately before crossing over. It is also possible that a particular person is more psychic than others. Also, the person from the otherside trying to make contact could have that extra energy to make himself or herself physically visible to a loved on on earth - especially in those critical moments before crossing over.

Victor: Information transmitted from the other side informs us that loved pets will survive physical death. We are informed that those pets who were given love by humans will get their vibrations increased and survive death. On rare occasions, during a seance, a couple of pets were materialized. In one seance with physical medium David Thompson a few years ago now a dog materialized, found its owner and put its paws up on her knees. Quite a sensational experience. 'CATHEXIS' - this is extremely important to understand. I mentioned it once before but the issue came up again this week. Someone suggested that 'cathexis' (a powerfully strong connection with somebody or something) is really what the Buddhists mean when they talk about 'attachment'. The Buddhists say we must get rid of all attachments. Yes, I agree. What is really important is to completely break away from any negative connections (attachments). Cathexis/attachment can operate on many other levels - powerful, uncontrolled attachment to certain foods, to certain sexual behavior to drugs or smoking. The thing to remember is that on crossing over, all cathexis/ attachments/ addictions/ worries about unresolved issues could stay with us and could hold us back. Critical therefore, to make all efforts to remove them.
