COMMENTARY: THE MIRACLE OF PHYSICAL MEDIUMSHIP
Those of us who have had the opportunity to experience genuine physical mediumship are passionate about its preservation, having experienced that it is something that takes people from believing in the afterlife to knowing 100% that it exists.
A physical medium produces phenomena independent of themselves that can be seen, heard, or felt, by everyone present. It can include bangs and raps, objects being moved with no apparent cause, levitating tables and other objects, causing objects to dematerialize and reappear elsewhere, influencing scientific instruments without touching them, producing whispered voices and materialized hands, producing paintings just by touching a canvas and dozens of other "paranormal" effects. The most developed and rare kinds of physical mediumship are the ability to produce voices of loved ones from thin air (direct voice mediumship) and to partially or fully materialize people and animals.
Because these happenings are so outside of what our physical reality considers possible, the first reaction of people who hear about them is to dismiss them as fraud, imagination, or delusions. And so, since the 1850s when the Fox Sisters began to demonstrate that it is possible to communicate with the spirits of the dead by raps, leading scientists in the USA, Europe, and the U.K. were called upon to investigate physical mediums. And most were surprised when they found that the mediums they investigated were genuine.
CAN SPIRITS MATERIALISE? A DOCUMENTARY BY DR. KEITH PARSONS An introduction to some of the great physical mediums and the scientists who were asked to investigate them.
A LAWYER WHO RESEARCHED PHYSICAL MEDIUMSHIP Edward C. Randall was a leading attorney in Buffalo New York in 1892 when he was asked to investigate the mediumship of Mrs Emily French. He spent 22 years sitting with her every week in his own home together with several of the leading members of his community. He quickly became convinced that he had been talking with people who had died and that he had discovered "an unknown country". He wrote:
“I have no need of creeds nor use for faiths. Positive knowledge has displaced them both and I have come to know there is no death; there are no dead. That change is one step only in life’s progression, in the unceasing march of evolution, in which neither identity nor individuality is lost, and that life goes on and labor continues as the soul works toward perfection, for progress is an absolute law that nothing can resist.”
N. RILEY HEAGERTY SHARES HIS INCREDIBLE JOURNEY RESEARCHING LIFE AFTER DEATH When Riley Heagerty's beloved fiance died from leukemia at the age of 29, Riley was distraught. He gave up his career as a successful musician and began an intense journey to try to find out whether there is an afterlife. Two years later his search was answered when his brother gave him a copy of Edward C. Randall's book "The Dead Have Never Died".
Riley will be discussing his book “Portraits from Beyond” at the next meeting of Gary Langley's Afterlife Book Club

WHAT IS NEEDED TO CREATE ADVANCED ELECTRONIC CONTACTS WITH OTHER DIMENSIONS?
In his work with
Instrumental Transcommunication, Mark Macy has consistently emphasized the need for extreme harmony and single-mindedness in creating a successful "bridge" to the afterlife. Mark's article should be essential reading for anyone working in this field.
" ....if a few individuals are committed to sustaining resonance (and all that that entails, such as each member’s constant fine-tuning of self), they’ve provided fertile ground for an ITC bridge. On top of that, they’ll need one highly sensitive person. That’s someone who’s not just psychically sensitive (someone who gets clear, reliable impressions from finer spiritual beings while dreaming, meditating, and ‘day-dreaming’), but also emotionally sensitive—trusting, loving of all creatures, empathetic to those less fortunate, and so on. That is the kind of disposition that resonates with the finer realms of spirit… and an ITC bridge cannot be formed that does not resonate with the finer realms of spirit." Read more about What I Learned From ITC (Part 6): To Establish a Bridge.
WORKING WITH PSYCHICS AND MEDIUMS IN CASE INVESTIGATIONS
In this conference of the Parapsychology Foundation, paranormal author and investigator Loyd Auerbach discusses his own experience working with psychic mediums able to communicate with discarnate entities. The variety of communication styles that he has experienced is discussed, as well as the range of information content the mediums provide.
NEW STUDY EXPLORING THE EXPERIENCE OF MEDICAL INTUITION
Medical intuition, also known as medical clairvoyance or psychic diagnosis, is the skill of using extended perception to read or assess the health conditions of another person. Defining characteristics of medical intuition are that it may be practiced non-locally, without the need to be in the same location as the person being read, and that it may be conducted with no prior knowledge of the client’s personal or medical history.
One of the doctoral students of Marilyn Schlitz, M.A., Ph.D. is conducting their dissertation research on the experience of medical intuition from the perspective of professional practitioners. Data will be collected through in-depth interviews with medical intuitive and then qualitatively analyzed to discern common themes. Read more.

Friday Report Global Gathering Historian Gerald O’Hara has traced the complexities of the American Spiritualist movement through the pages of the newspaper The Psychic Observer, 1938-1963. Its editors, Ralph and Juliette Pressing, knew everyone who was anyone in the American Spiritualist movement. The paper included seance updates, church events, convention reports, and articles about skeptics and attacks on mediums.
Being a Spiritualist then was not always easy. Mediums were hounded by journalists, police, courts, and psychic researchers. Skeptics wrote scandalous articles about them, raided their séances, charged them with fortune-telling, and hauled them before judges. The Pressings were in the middle of it all.

THE PROCESS OF CHOOSING A FUTURE LIFE
Michael Newton writes in Journey of Souls
"Once a soul has decided to incarnate again, the next stage in the return process is to be directed to the place of life selection. Souls consider when and where they want to go on Earth before making a decision on who they will be in their new life. While some spiritual locales for life selection are difficult for my subjects to describe, they use remarkably similar descriptions. He is told it resembles a movie theater which allows souls to see themselves in the future, playing different roles in various settings". Read more.
DO PETS HAVE A LIFE REVIEW?
According to this surprising reading with medium Matt Fraser, they do.
1) "As ever, thank you for reminding us all of these wonderful simple but wise words from our brother SB". Av.
2) "I so look forward to your Friday Afterlife Reports Wendy & Victor. Thank you both so very much for all you do." Bonnie
3)
I created the Litany of Fear, which made a huge difference in my life. Goes like this:
"Fear is the mind-killer.
I will face my fear.
It will go around me and through me,
And when it is gone
I will remain". P.M.H. Atwater.
HIGHLY INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC: A VERY SPECIAL SONG 'SAILING' The writer, Gavin Sutherland, claimed that the song is highly spiritual. "Most people take the song to be about a young guy telling his girl that he's crossing the Atlantic to be with her. In fact, the song's got nothing to do with romance or ships; it's an account of mankind's spiritual odyssey through life on his way to freedom and fulfillment with the Supreme Being."
