COMMENTARY: THE IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS TEST
When materialists and closed-minded skeptics refuse to accept the objective evidence for the afterlife, I am reminded of a courtroom scene. Imagine that the police prosecutor in a murder case has brought in one hundred witnesses. These witnesses are highly accredited scientists, doctors, lawyers, writers, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicists, and many others. All of the witnesses state that they saw the accused pull the trigger and shoot the victim five times in the chest.
Then the defense lawyer stands up and argues the debunkers' argument:
• all the prosecution witnesses are hallucinating.
• they were all hypnotized.
• they are all in collusion with the prosecutor.
• alternatively all of these witnesses are projecting their guilt onto the accused.
• these witnesses exteriorized their energy collectively which killed the victim.
And if all else fails,
• it was super-ESP.
When assessing the evidence for the afterlife, closed-minded materialists apply a test that will guarantee the phenomena being investigated will not be accepted under any circumstances. This is the "I will not believe in the afterlife even if you can prove it to me" test, which, of course, is impossible to pass.
In the meantime, many open-minded people are enjoying wonderful direct contact with their loved ones in spirit and glorying in the certainty of a grand reunion.
JOHN CLEESE: THE ONE QUESTION THAT REALLY MATTERS
Comedian John Cleese makes the important point that the only question that should really matter to people is the existence of the afterlife, and yet all the media is filled with trivia. John Cleese has been interested in the afterlife for many years and has worked closely with Dr. Edward Kelly of the Division of Personality Studies at the University of Virginia.

PSYCHICAL RESEARCH: THE BOOK TESTS In 1917 a father in the spirit world began to cooperate with his living son in a series of 348 psychic experiments to provide knowledge from the spirit world that was not in any earthly mind. This was done through the mediumship of Mrs. Gladys Osborne Leonard, one of the most thoroughly investigated mediums of the twentieth century. The father agreed to tell the son what word could be found on a particular page in a particular book in the son's library or the library of his friend.
Over two years, the father and son researchers carried out 348 tests. Of those, 242 were deemed good, 46 indefinite, and 60 were failures. This was a success rate of 69.5%. A control experiment was carried out by the Society for Psychical Research in which a number of people turned to stated locations in given books in an attempt to find certain messages which might apply to them personally. THE POWER OF PRAYER
As the Universal Spiritual Brother & Sisterhood (USB) highlights, prayer can be a very powerful way of providing spiritual service and there is no
limit to what we can pray for. A few examples of possible prayers include
praying that we may be used for good in the service of others, praying for
healing for those in need or praying for help and guidance from our spirit
guides.
The USB teachings point out that the most effective
prayers are those that are expressed individually and
sincerely, directly from a person’s mind and heart, and
that during prayer we should concentrate intensely and
visualize what we desire in joyous anticipation, while
asking that our prayers be answered only if they are for
the highest good and bring no harm to anyone.
