COMMENTARY: SCIENCE NOW PROVES FIVE AREAS OF THE PARANOARMAL: Scientists in Europe and America have been investigating psychic abilities using scientific method for more than 150 years. Since 1942 the term "psi phenomena"- ( from the 23rd letter of the Greek alphabet meaning "mind" or "soul") has often been used to describe those abilities which have been investigated in the laboratory. According to American physicist Dr Charles Tart (in his book The End of Materialism) there are five areas of psychic phenomena for which there is overwhelming experimental evidence. These are:

1) telepathy- receiving messages from someone's mind
2) clairvoyance or remote viewing- knowing things at a distance
3) precognition- knowing things before they happen
4) psychokinesis- moving things with the mind
5) and psychic healing.

Extensive experiments were carried out in the American Rhine Research Center by Dr J.B. Rhine and his wife Dr Louisa Rhine who created the word “parapsychology”.In their book "Extra-Sensory Perception After Sixty Years", JB Rhine claims that by 1940, 33 experiments had been done involving almost a million trials on telepathy and precognition.

Twenty seven (27) of the 33 studies produced statistically significant results. These studies were repeated in 33 independent experiments in different laboratories in the five years following Rhine’s first publication of his results. Twenty of these or 61% were statistically significant where 5% would be expected by chance. Ignore the closed minded skeptics' negative comments on the paranormal - they show they do not have the spine or the integrity or the honesty to research the paranormal which has repeatedly produced positive results over time and space.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SLEEP? "The other half of the story is that whilst the body, the machine is resting, the spirit withdraws itself and is active. ON THE PARANORMAL: DOWSING: German government tells closed minded skeptics to get lost and accepts the professional dowsing research of a Munich physics Professor Hans Dieter Betz. Prof. Bets is credited with helping change attitudes in Germany regarding the dowsing phenomenon. The German government's involvement in dowsing research incensed professional skeptic who attacked the dowsing research in Time magazine. But the German National Service for Geological Sciences reacted favorably and opened a dialogue with Prof Betz and the dowsing community.

A report on the ten year German Government project says:
" The study makes repeated observations that Schroter and other competent water diviners were consistently able to IDENTIFY FROM A DISTANCE, then PINPOINT AND ASSESS fresh groundwater sources in terms of EXACT LOCATION, DEPTH RANGE, and POTENTIAL YIELD with a degree of accuracy far beyond the capability of even the best geophysical instruments, and most educated hydrogeological guesswork. The outcome was striking. An overall success rate of 96% (by dowsers) was achieved in 691 drillings in Sri Lanka. Based on geological experience in that area, a success rate of 30-50% would be expected from conventional techniques alone." Read study...

NEW TELEVISION SERIES ON NDEs
BIO Channel has a new series called "I Survived... Beyond and Back," which tells the stories of people who died; some for a few seconds, others for up to an hour, and came back to life.The one-hour series features six episodes and premiered in the US on Sunday, December 5 at 10PM ET/9PM CT/11PM PT on BIO Channel. Through first-person accounts and testimony from the medical personnel and family members who were present, "I Survived... Beyond and Back" will not only explore the survivor's encounter with death, but also the ways in which it has changed their outlook on life forever.


PUBLIC OPINION POLLS: most interesting: Gallup Poll taken some 9 years ago shows that some 93% of Americans polled believe - or accepted the evidence - in one or more of 18 paranormal phenomena offered for consideration. 75% had actually experienced at least one of these paranormal phenomena. Extra Sensory Perception 50%; mental and spiritual healing 54%. Clairvoyance 32%. Ghosts 38%. Communication with the dead just under 30%.
As to acceptance of life after death one survey taken in the U.S. shows that 65% accept it, 35% are not sure, and only 5% are hard core closed minded against the existence of the afterlife. It appears that outside the U.S.A. the figures are very similar.

QUESTION: IS VIOLENCE NECESSARY? Why is there so much violence in the world to-day? We see aggressive men being violent against each other in most places in the world to-day or in the past through wars, revolutions and dictatorships. Why is it necessary to have so much violence - which brings much pain and suffering - to live in this world?

Victor: Good question. The simple answer to that is that we are NOT born spiritually equal. This means those who are spiritually backward are the ones who usually cause the problems - cause violence in the world to-day. The spiritually advanced person will never initiate violence. The earth is a place to learn how to become more spiritual - to become good, honest people to help others who need help. We have the opportunities to make rapid spiritual progress on earth – some say far more than we can do in the afterlife. Information transmitted from the afterlife dimension - from those we consider them to be highly spiritual - tells us that we are spirit with a body – meaning spirit came first. Those who kill, murder, lie, cheat and be cruel are those who are spiritually retarded and will take time for them to spiritually evolve. In the meantime, they use violence to try to get their way. But one day they will all spiritually evolve because in the universe – and everywhere – it is inevitable that we continue to evolve in MIND, BODY and SPIRIT.

VICTOR PARTICIPATED IN A SUNDAY CATHOLIC SERVICE - AND THE ROOF DID NOT FALL DOWN ON HIM!!! Local Catholics organized a very special memorial service. I was invited to join other ex-Servicemen to commemorate those who had fallen - the deaths of those servicemen and women who were killed during the war in World War Two and in Vietnam. I was placed in the front row, at the very end closest to the service. And the roof did not fall, the ceiling did not crack as some people predicted it would if I attended a Catholic service. I had to prove to myself that I can spiritually communicate with the afterlife in any religion.

FEEDBACK ON GENDER AND SPIRITUALITY - from last week's editorial: most people agreed that there is a tendency for females to be concerned about spirituality than males - judging only by the consistency of females' percentage being much more than that of males - in attending spiritual meetings. But a couple raised a very good issue: gays, perhaps because of their extra-sensitivity are well represented in the Spiritual movement - and so many of them are excellent mediums and psychics. It was explained that their extra sensitivity makes them excellent mediums and psychics.
