COMMENTARY: IS THERE A GOD? THE WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION It just does NOT make sense for the atheistic skeptical scientist to say that the whole of the universe came by 'chance', that the trillions of galaxies, stars, planets, solar systems, gravity - all showing incredible order and intelligence - created themselves. Although this is the viewpoint, based purely on speculation, that is taught to young science students as fact, there are a number of eminent physicists, astronomers, and cosmologists who disagree.

One of them is Dr. Bernard Haisch, an eminently qualified astrophysicist who believes in the existence of God - not the religious God portrayed as an old man with long white beard, but a consciousness that has become the universe to experience itself.

His book 'The God Theory' claims to show how you can and should be "a rational, science-believing human being and, at the same time, know that you are an immortal spiritual being, a spark of God." He claims to be putting forward "a world view that offers a way out of the hate and fear-driven violence engulfing the planet."

BERNARD HAISCH'S 'PROOF OF GOD' In an effort to make his argument more easily understood by a popular audience Dr. Haisch joined with best-selling author Ptolemy Tompkins to write 'Proof of God' (2017). It is structured as a very personal discussion between a curious writer (Tompkins) and a scientist (Haisch) who sets forth the argument that, far from having disproved God’s existence, science has increasingly shown that God is, in fact, the best explanation so far found for the universe and everything in it.

“It is not matter that creates an illusion of consciousness, but consciousness that creates an illusion of matter.”

“We only understand what we are prepared to understand.”

“And the purpose is for God to experience his potential. God's ideas and abilities become God's experience in the life of every sentient being. What greater purpose could there be for each of us humans than that of creating God's experience? God experiences the richness of his potential through us because we are the incarnations of him in the physical realm.” More quotes...

The Forever Family Foundation presents some of the evidence for the afterlife. Dean Radin demonstrates why skeptical scientists have difficulty overcoming the theoretical framework which shapes their perception. Often it is only some exceptional personal experience which convinces such a person that they need to construct a new theoretical framework to accommodate their new experiences.

Out-of-body experiencer, Jurgen Ziewe, tells of an experience he had in 2012 when, during his regular meditation, he found himself out-of-body in a different dimension. He decided to continue his meditation chanting the 'Om'.

He writes: "The moment I chanted the word, the ground around me began to reverberate, almost like a minor earth tremor. With the second chant, I was completely airborne and lifted into the most sublime sky one can imagine, with blessing in the form of luminous sparks raining down on me. I rose higher and higher and as I rose the chant assumed a life of its own. Very rapidly I merged with the sound and in no time I entered Samadhi. I was connected to and one with the core energy of this most amazing current."

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE CHANGES THE LIFE OF RUSSIAN ATHEIST SCIENTIST Dr. George Rodonaia was a psychiatric researcher who worked for the KGB and later became a dissident. He was a scientist trained in materialism and did not believe in God. When he attempted to leave Russia, he was run down by the KGB, pronounced dead and taken to the morgue for three days. He returned to life during his own autopsy. When he left his body he went into a world of light and love and found out that God exists. He then became an ordained priest in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

PMH Atwater documented two fascinating examples of Dr. Rodonaia's ability to see things while out of his body that were later proved to be correct. One of them later proved quite embarrassing to his wife, to the extent that she would not sleep in the same room with him for a year afterward. "He both saw and heard his wife picking out his grave site. As she stood there looking at the grave site, in her head, she pictured several men she would consider being her next husband. She made a list for herself of their various qualities, pro and con, to decide which one would be the most suitable." Read more...

Here Stanley Krippner discusses the three main Spiritist religions of Brazil: Candomblé, Umbanda, and Kardecismo. Candomblé and Umbanda are, essentially, variations of the African Yoruba tradition. The African slaves in Brazil incorporated Catholic Saints into their religion in order to disguise the fact that they were still worshipping the deities of their homeland. The Kardecismo tradition was imported from Europe, based on the spiritist writings of the French pedagogue, Allan Kardec. Krippner describes his own research with spiritist mediums of these traditions, pointing out that when they incorporated spiritual entities measurable changes occurred in their physiology.

Alec Harris was a superb Welsh materialization medium who died in 1974. During the production of materialized spirit forms, Alec's spirit guides usually took him into a deep trance, and the sitters were able to see him clearly sitting on his chair (bound hand and foot) inside the 'cabinet' - and the whole room was bathed in good red light while the materialized people walked around the room and spoke with their loved ones. The following witness statements are contained in the book 'Alec Harris The Full Story of his Remarkable Physical Mediumship'' by Alec's wife, Louie Harris.

Maurice Barbanell the then editor of Psychic News, wrote of Alec's mediumship that "the spirit forms not only show themselves in good red light, but they also hold sustained conversations, after having walked about ten feet from the cabinet! At a sitting I attended, I saw thirty forms materialize during two and a half hours".

Sir Alexander Cannon, 'spoke to two spirit forms who were Tibetans, and these conversations were held in their native tongue, which was unknown to Alec Harris or any of the other persons present'.

Prof. T J Haarhoff, who was a professor of classics, "conversed with a materialized spirit who spoke to him in ancient Greek".

Mr. A.G. Fletcher-Desborough, an expert magician who was an arch-skeptic attended a sitting. "As he reported later in the Liverpool Evening Express 'as an illusionist and magician, I knew exactly where to look for such things as panel and floor escapes, ceiling and wall slides. I was satisfied that nothing could make an exit or entrance in any way. There was no chance of deception'. What followed was nothing short of miraculous. The skeptic's dead father materialized and used a pet name known to nobody but his family. His brother materialized giving his name and walking with a limp as he did in life. Finally, his third son, Ronnie, who had been beheaded by the Japanese after the fall of Singapore materialized."

Anna Breytenbach has dedicated her life to what she calls 'interspecies communication'. She sends detailed messages to animals through pictures and thoughts. She then receives messages of remarkable clarity back from the animals. In this video, we see some remarkable attestations to her abilities by people who have been personally involved with her. See also Rick Archer's new interview with Anna on 'Buddha at the Gas Pump'.

Silver Birch was a spirit guide who spoke through Maurice Barbanell (1902-1981), founder and editor of the Psychic News of London, England. He was one of the influential spiritual commentators of the mid-20th Century who drew our attention to the coming of a miraculous “New World.” Word of Silver Birch’s teachings first began to circulate in the late 1930s and, within forty years, nine books of his teachings had been issued, circulating widely in the Anglophone world.
